Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia has inaugurated Members of Governing Councils of Tertiary institutions of Benue State.

Performing the exercise Friday, July 19, 2024 at Old Banquet Hall, Government House, Makurdi, Governor Alia charged the newly inaugurated members to be dedicated and committed in the discharge of the duties and responsibilities expected of them.

He added that their selection was based on their records of activities and moral soundness, expressing the hope that they would use their wealth of experience to bear on the new assignment given to them.

Responding on behalf of the council members, the Chairman and Pro Chancellor of Benue State University, Makurdi Sir Paul Chukwuma appreciated the Governor of Benue State, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia for trusting them with such a huge and worthy responsibility.

He accepted with gratitude the responsibility given to them and

promised to work harmoniously with heads of the institutions to uplift the standard of tertiary education in the state.

The Deputy Governor of Benue State, Barr. Sam Ode Mni, commissioners, Advisors and many top government functionaries also witnessed the inauguration.
